About

Saint Francis of Assisi Food Pantry is looking for volunteers to help the community obtain healthy fresh and shelf-stable food, pet food, baby food, used clothing, household goods, toiletries and other items necessary to survive the pandemic and thrive beyond it. All volunteers all welcome. Masks and hand sanitizer will be supplied to volunteers, and the 6' social distancing guidelines have been enforced in the pantry. 

Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 1:00 - 3:00 PM;
3rd Wednesday of every month 5:00 - 7:00 PM
Volunteers are needed to assist clients in choosing food for their families and log clients into the computer system.

Ongoing
Volunteers are needed to pick up donated food from around Reno/Sparks area at various times during the week.

Requirement Details
Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
  1. Have you or someone in your household traveled to a country on the CDC’s Level 3 watch list in the last 30 days? At this time, these include China, Iran, Italy and South Korea. These may change. See the CDC’s guidelines for the most up-to-date list.

  2. Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.

  3. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a fever, cough or shortness of breath. See the CDC’s symptom information.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
