Volunteer as a walking or running guide at our weekly workout!

Last date was Saturday, October 16th, 2021 from 8:45am to 10:30am (CT)
This has ended. If you attended, let the organizer know by recording your Impact!

We are a non-profit "running" group that pairs athletes with disabilities with able-bodied volunteer guides to walk, run, or roll. Our local chapter of Achilles International launched in June of 2019 and we are working on expanding our athletes and volunteers - so please join us and help us spread the word! Our mission is to enable individuals with disabilities to participate in mainstream athletics. We welcome athletes with disabilities and volunteers of all levels and paces! Whether you're interested in getting out for to explore beautiful Lake Fayetteville, to socialize, or to train with an athlete for a race, we'd love for you to join us. The actual workout starts at 9 and you will probably be finished by 10, but please plan to come by 8:45 if it's your first time.

We are requesting everyone sign up at least 24 hours before the workout through our RSVP form and we will confirm your attendance. 1st time volunteers will also complete a 1 time online form - in the RSVP form, and will be not be paired with an athlete alone or without an experienced volunteer. All paces are welcome! If you are not vaccinated please wear a mask. Do not attend if you have had a fever, are not feeling well in any way, are awaiting COVID test results, or have been in contact with anyone suspected of having Coronavirus within 14 days.
