The Allen African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church in Oxford, PA is seeking a student musician to partner with our Music Director.  Enclosed is the description: 
  • Have a personal relationship with God through Jesus the Christ.  Seek to grow in their relationship with Christ through personal spiritual discipline, education, accountability and service to His Kingdom.
  • In cooperation with the Pastor and Music Director, through prayer, select, plan, and play music that complements and accentuates God’s Word.
  • Highly skills and proficient in playing piano, organ or drums.
  • Partner with Music Director to set atmosphere of praise and worship.
  • Lead Praise and Worship team, as well as congregation is singing hymns, as well as musical selections.  Usher the congregation into the presence of God.
  • Available and willing to step in for Music Director when they are unavailable.
  • In partnership with the Young People’s Division (YPD), consistently include youth in worship experience.
  • Be available to play for church weddings, funerals, and other special events, as needed.
  • Understands music from a variety of genres and generations, with particular emphasis on traditional and contemporary music.
  • Comfortable performing in both face-to-face, virtual settings, as well as hybrid settings.
