About
Jail ≠ Justice: Volunteers will had out flyers and share with farmer's market attendees in Springdale about the American Rescue monies and all the ways they can be spent. Today, Washington County plans to spend $20mm of the current $23mm given this year on an expansion of the jail. These monies can be used for many things: job training, rent/mortgage relief, small business loans/grants, infrastructure improvements, broadband. Each Saturday, handouts and the latest news of the rescue monies will be shared with community members along with an in-persn and on-line poll of where county residents would like to see the money spent.
