Flag Placement for Veterans Day at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery

Saturday, November 6th, 2021 from 9:00am to 12:00pm (CT)

About

Join Save Austin's Cemeteries in placing flags on the graves of veterans at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.  This is a fun, easy, socially distanced activity.  We will show you what a military grave marker looks like, provide you with flags and then you can spend as much time as you want, placing flags in the ground to commemorate our veterans.  In light of the current COVID pandemic we have worked with our partners at Parks and Rec to implement the following procedures.  Project registration will be very limited so please only register if you are certain that you can participate, and if something changes between registration and the event, please let us know so that we can open that spot back up.  All volunteers are REQUIRED to wear masks and register in GivePulse. Social distancing will be maintained throughout the project.  Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer and gloves.
