About

Austin Voices operates a drive-thru food distribution serving 250 cars at Cook Elementary School. In addition, we have teamed up with Walgreens to offer free Covid-19 vaccinations and flu vaccines. We are also distributing books to families with children who are in grades PK-12.

As a volunteer, you should wear closed-toed shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather since the food distribution is outside. Make sure to sign in when you arrive and complete the COVID-19 pre-screening questionnaire and temperature check. Please wear a mask, gloves, and follow strict social distancing. Bilingual volunteers may help with intake and others may help with pre-bagging food and putting food into trunks of cars.

To register, please also fill out this form: http://www.tinyurl.com/aveyfood

Also, you do not need to stay for the entire event. We are thankful for any time you can share with us.

Thank you and I hope to meet you soon!
