About

We are seeking volunteers to help out at our Health for All communication campaign. These events will take place on a series of days in October and November. NOTE: You will need to register for an account to sign up to volunteer. If you're a GSU student or faculty, use your GSU login credentials.

The campaign's goal is to increase annual preventive care visits at the local clinics and connect people to see a doctor.  DeKalb County Board of health will deploy mobile units at our four partner-based sites to conduct health screenings.  We'll need volunteers to help out at these mobile events with the following tasks. Please know the list isn't limited to the following -- training will be provided.

  • Scheduling people for doctor appointments;
  • Explaining the Healthy Living Kit materials to people which includes info on clinics and reasons to see your doctor;
  • Interpretation (if applicable);
  • Completing Health ID cards (more info on this will be provided in training)

NOTE:  We are open to any help but especially interpretation help. We are looking for interpretation depending on the location's language needs.  If you speak any of the languages below and are available, please consider registering for that event. Even if you don't speak the language - we can still use your help!
