About

Join David Dannenberg and Friends of Carpenter's Woods to plant trees on the Carpenter's Woods hillsides. Carpenter's Woods is the Philadelphia Old Growth Forest park. Our trees are important for our environment and protection of our clean water sources, as well as providing homes and stopping-off points for birds, chipmunks, toads, frogs, foxes, bats, and other wildlife. The Woods is a great place to find a few calm moments and a great get-away from everyday stress. Help sustain our forest with a few hours of planting new trees in the fresh, outdoor air. Volunteers 16 and older welcome. No prior experience required, just willingness to learn and follow instructions. Long, sleeves, long pants, sturdy shoes required. Poison ivy, thorns, and biting insects may be present. Masks are required for all participants. Visit our website (focw.org) and Facebook page to learn more about Carpenter's Woods and the Friends.
