3-Category Pollinator Monitoring Training Field Day at Crosby Farm Park | St. Paul

Monday, August 8th, 2022 at 1:00pm (CT)

About

Great River Greening is looking for community pollinator monitors to help us conduct pollinator surveys at several of our restoration sites. One type of survey involves a 30-minute timed count of native bees, honeybees, and other pollinators. Join Sara Nelson, a Great River Greening ecologist and pollinator enthusiast, in the field at Crosby Farm Park for a demonstration. We’ll practice surveying and answer any questions you may have about pollinator monitoring opportunities coming up. These surveys can be done independently on your own schedule any time through the end of September.

If you’re interested in joining the monitoring project, but can't make it to this event, please email GRG Ecologist, Sara Nelson at snelson@greatrivergreening.org for more information.

If the event has reached capacity, please add your name to the waitlist and you will be automatically registered if space becomes available.

If you are a minor registering yourself, you will need to provide an email address in the "Linked Survey" box so we can send a Youth Liability Waiver to your parent or guardian. If you are an adult bringing a minor, you can add them as an attendee and simply check the "Youth Waiver" box upon registering. If you are an adult registering yourself and another adult, you will need to enter their unique email address to the Attendee registration, so they can confirm their registration and electronically sign their own waivers.

LOCATION:

Additional details and directions will be sent out in the weeks leading up to the event.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY:

All volunteers participating in Great River Greening events release Great River Greening and its employees, officers, directors, or agents from any and all liability from claims of any nature whatsoever arising from participation the extent such liability is directly attributable to the negligence of GRG, or its respective employees, officers, directors or agents.
