About

This pathway was started to address needs related to infectious diseases within the community. The 2 initiatives under this pathway are STI Focused Community Needs Assessment and HIV Treatment Quality Improvement.

STI Focused Community Needs Assessment focuses on research related to local STI trends in order to understand local disease burden, clearly define the need for targeted intervention, and to decrease the prevalence of STIs in eastern Virginia.

HIV Treatment Quality Improvement focuses on assessing the needs of the HIV positive community, understanding barriers to HIV care, and improving treatment quality for this population.

For more information on these initiatives, please see their pages under "Subgroups".
